From Curiosity to Impact: The Story Behind Green Traffic Light®

I’m looking forward to speaking at the Yorkshire Women in Business Conference on Wednesday 9th September where I'll be sharing my own journey from more than 12 years in the food industry to becoming an entrepreneur.

My session is called:

“From Idea to Impact: How Curiosity, Experience and One Small Step Can Become Something Bigger”

Because sometimes an idea starts as just that — an idea.

For me, it began unexpectedly in 2019 after attending a workshop on natural skincare and cosmetic ingredients. What started with curiosity led me to experiment with my own formulations, eventually developing VERD’ELDA™ skincare and Green Traffic Light®.

As the business evolved, I discovered new ways to bring together my knowledge and experience — from wellbeing products to HeroLoom®, an interactive educational programme exploring food awareness, wellbeing and healthier everyday habits.

Along the way, I’ve learned that you don’t need to have everything figured out before you start. Your first idea doesn’t have to be your final destination, and the experience you already have might be more valuable than you realise.

I’ll be sharing some of the lessons I’ve learned, the steps I’ve taken and how being curious, taking action and being willing to evolve can turn one small idea into something much bigger.

And I’ll finish with a question for you:
