Sometimes, a business doesn’t begin with a business plan.

Sometimes, it begins with curiosity.

In 2019, after few years working in the food industry, I became curious about natural skincare. I attended a workshop, started experimenting with formulations, and began creating products for myself, my family and friends.

They loved them.

And that’s when a simple thought started to grow:

“Could this become something more?”

That curiosity became the first step towards Green Traffic Light®.

Founded by Elda Lima, Green Traffic Light® brings together my background in Food Engineering and Biomedical Science with my experience in food quality, safety, product development and manufacturing environments.

Over the years, I have worked as a Food Quality Auditor, Laboratory Technician, NPD Technologist and Artwork Controller. These experiences shaped the way I approach my business today — with curiosity, quality, precision, transparency and care.

What began with natural skincare gradually evolved into a wider vision: creating products and experiences that encourage wellbeing, mindful living and positive everyday choices.

Today, Green Traffic Light® creates wellbeing-focused products for everyday rituals, including natural and waterless skincare, bath salts, soy wax candles and mindful lifestyle accessories.

But the journey didn't stop with products.

My background in the food industry kept raising another question:

How can we make people more curious about food, wellbeing and the choices they make every day?

That question led to HeroLoom® Educational Programme.

HeroLoom® brings together interactive learning, food awareness, wellbeing and healthier everyday habits through challenges, discussion, teamwork and reflection.

The aim is not simply to give people information.

It is to encourage them to explore, question, think for themselves and discover something they can take into everyday life.

From a skincare workshop in 2019 to a growing wellbeing brand and an educational programme, Green Traffic Light® continues to evolve.

Because sometimes, one small curiosity can open the door to something much bigger.

And that is what Green Traffic Light® is about:
