OUR WATERLESS FORMULA:

The cosmetics industry has long depended on water as a key ingredient in the formulation and production of products. Water is involved in every stage of a product’s lifecycle, making it one of the most resource-intensive industries.

Our founder, Elda Lima, recognised the huge environmental impact of using water, and decided against it. She created our waterless skincare, designed to nourish your skin without harming the environment.

Why is water bad?

While there’s nothing intrinsically wrong with putting water on your skin, there are countless reasons why waterless skincare is better for your skin and the environment.

Water is involved in every stage of a skincare product’s lifecycle, making it one of the most resource-intensive industries.

Water is a breeding ground for microbial growth. Or competitors counter this by using synthetic preservatives, which each require energy and resources to create. Our solution? We’ve chosen to eliminate water altogether, eliminating the threat of microbial growth and focusing solely on nature’s finest ingredients.

Water is weight. Products filled with water are heavier and bigger, so use more energy to transport. Lighter, waterless products require less energy to transport and have a smaller environmental impact.

By avoiding water, we’re able to add more of the best ingredients into our skincare, so each product packs a potent punch of hydrating goodness.
